Rise in Existing Home and Condo Sales in Florida

There is interesting news for those Snowbird’s who are considering purchasing a second home in Florida or moving here. Existing homes sales in Florida rose in October, 2008. A housing report released by the Florida Association of Realtors indicates that activity in Florida existing homes sales increased by 15% over October of last year and existing condominium sales were 5% higher.
This may be an indication that the real estate slump might have reached rock bottom and is starting to improve. However, you should note that the median sales price for existing homes in Florida last month was $169,700 compared to $222,200 this time last year.
